The Adventure Begins: Transfer to Kampala
Arriving at the airport you will be warmly welcomed by a Home To Africa Tours and
Travels representative, & transferred your accommodation in Kampala.
After breakfast you will continue to Queen Elizabeth is Uganda’s second largest park,
located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and
Lake George. The park has prolific game; lions are often sighted both in and at the entrance to the park.
Be prepared for huge numbers of hippo and elephant, and keep your eyes peeled for a leopard.
Queen Elizabeth National Park is among of the most remarkable national parks within Uganda for outstanding Wildlife as well as Bird-life, it also a perfect place to enjoy chimpanzee tracking / trekking done within the Kyambura Gorge where there are several habituated Chimpanzees. The scenery within this gorge is very spectacular and there are several other mammals plus birds to be seen as you start out in the morning on your chimpanzee trekking voyage. Taking a cruise on the Kazinga Channel is among the highlights of Uganda safaris within Queen Elizabeth Park. The launch cruise offers great chances to take pictures since the
boat drifts slowly just by the shores of the channel. The Kazinga Channel supports the biggest number of Hippos in the whole of Africa. Actually an adult male Hippopotamus weighs more compared to a fully loaded Land- Cruiser. Hippos don’t swim however they just bounce their bodies at the bottom of the water in which they are in. They normally stay under water jut as you will notice in the Kazinga Channel so as to safe guard their rather sensitive skin, and actually if you took a night time cruise on the channel you will actually discover that there are not so many hippos since most of
them will be grazing on-land.
Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning; an early game drive that exposes us to diverse animals,
Elephants, Buffaloes, big cats- Leopards, Lions. There is a rich bird life especially our version of storks in the
wetland spots as we reach the Flamingos in the salt lakes at Kasenyi.
We get back to the lodge for lunch after the game-drive. In the afternoon we take a community walk to the nearby
village and beautiful crater lake. In the evening watch the, warthogs and hunchback, carnivals like Hyenas and many
more species that are residents to this park are spotted along the circuits as we drive along as well as have time
to relax at the lodge taking in the view of the magnificent sunset.
