4 DAYS RWENZORI MOUNTAINS CULTURAL TOUR & NATURE WALK.

Day by Day

Day 1: Transfer to Rwenzori Mountains National Park.

After your breakfast, our driver guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you from Kampala heading to Rwenzori Mountains National Park. He will transfer you heading to south western Uganda where Rwenzori is located, you will pass via Mubende district and Mityana then arrive in Fort Portal for lunch. After lunch continue till you arrive in the late afternoon and check in to your lodge.

Overnight at Rwenzori Mountains Safari Lodge/ Ruboni Camp.

Day 2: Make a Ruboni Hill Nature Walk

After breakfast as early as possible, pack your drinking water with packed simple lunch then you will embark on a climb up to Ruboni Hill where you should expect stunning sights of Mount Baker and River Mubuku as you continue to climb up. As you continue you will get to the highest point of the Hill which is nearly 2300 meters high, at this point you will enjoy the magnificent sights of the Mountains of the moon with its splendid snow-capped Margherita Peak. Later retire and return to your lodge for relaxation and dinner.

Day 3: Make a cultural Hike

Following your early morning breakfast, embark on a cultural trail for Bulembe –Ihandiro for yet another exhilarating sights and observations of the Bakonzo Traditional Culture. This Hike takes you about 7 hours to the peak of the cultural museum via the sacred place of the Bakonzo people known as “Bat Valley” which runs through the Kamusonge River. You can as well visit the proclaimed traditional doctor called “Muhima” who self-applauses to treat the sick people using his own powers.

Alternatively, you could decide to visit the nearby villages of Ruboni or Mihunga and explore cultural experiences expecting to choose and buy several crafts work, performances from the local troupes, traditional talks, dressing and much more.

Return to the lodge for relaxation and later have dinner.

Day 4: Transfer back to Kampala.

Wake up to your breakfast with leisure, then drive to Kampala expecting to have lunch en-route you will arrive in the evening or in the late afternoon depending on the traffic you met on the road.
